Zayed International Airport has a series of warnings about expected disruptions, advising passengers to check with their airline before heading to the terminal.
The alert comes after several airspace closures in the Middle East, leading to a ripple effect on air travel across the region. The disruption started on Friday June 13, when Zayed International Airport issued the first statement.
National carrier Etihad has suspended flights on the Abu Dhabi-Tel Aviv route until July 15 inclusive. Flights to Jordan were temporarily cancelled, but have now resumed. Due to airspace restrictions, the carrier is also rerouting a number of other flights.
Air Arabia has suspended flights to Iran and Iraq, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia until June 30, and to Jordan until June 25 inclusive. Sales offices in Iran are temporarily closed.
Wizz Air has suspended flights to Tel Aviv and Amman until September 15, 2025, with other flights avoiding the airspace of Israel, Iraq, Iran and Syria.
