Petrol prices in the UAE are set to fall in December, following an increase of nearly 10 per cent in November, the Emirates General Petroleum Corporation announced on Wednesday.
The new prices represent a fall compared to an increase the month before.
Petrol prices are affected by a global increase in crude oil prices, which have soared since the beginning of 2022. The ongoing Russia-Ukraine is one of the key reasons for the high cost of oil, and consequently petrol prices, as Russia is one of the world’s largest exporters of oil.
