The UAE on Sunday (November 30) announced the fuel prices for the month of December 2025.
The Fuel Prices Monitoring Committee has increased rates in December 2025. The approved fuel prices by the Ministry of Energy are determined every month, according to the average global price of oil, whether up or down, after adding the operating costs of distribution companies.
Starting December 1, a litre of Super 98 petrol will cost AED 2.70, up from AED 2.63 in November. Special 95 petrol will rise from AED 2.51 to AED 2.58 per litre, while E-Plus 91 will increase from AED 2.44 to AED 2.51. A litre of diesel will cost motorists AED 2.85 instead of AED 2.67.
Depending on the vehicle type, a full tank in December will cost drivers AED 3.67–5.18 more than in November. For compact cars, sedans, and SUVs, the difference varies based on fuel tank capacity.
Fuel prices in the UAE are reviewed monthly by the Fuel Price Committee and approved by the Ministry of Energy. Tariffs are calculated based on the average global oil price for the previous period, taking into account the operating costs of distribution companies, and may increase or decrease.
The country deregulated retail petrol prices back in 2015 to link the domestic market to global benchmarks. According to authorities, this mechanism makes pricing more transparent and predictable for both consumers and businesses.
