One of Dubai’s most popular homegrown restaurant destinations is about to get bigger.

Much, much bigger.

The upcoming development, Uptown Dubai, adjacent to JLT looks set to be home to heaps of retail and F&B outlets.

Uptown Dubai will also be home to the first SO/ Hotel in Dubai, which promises to open some of the top restaurants in the city.

According to DMCC, the tower’s outside facade has been fully installed, marking a major construction milestone for the megaproject. Expect 23,000 sqm of retail and F&B space and 200,000 sqm of residential and serviced apartments.

Uptown Tower is set to deliver a 5.8 million sq ft of  commercial and residential space.

The five-star luxury hotel SO/ Uptown Dubai will feature 188 rooms and suites, restaurants and bars, a grand ballroom and conference centre and 227 SO/ branded residences including duplexes and penthouses.

The property will be the first SO/Lifestyle Luxury Hotel in the Middle East. Expect a glamorous fashion-led destination with amenities and services that are set apart with a fashionable twist.

Guests will also have access to exclusive facilities including a lounge with a resident DJ, a swimming pool and a private fitness area.

The district’s main podium, 28 metres above ground, features a two-level central plaza that will be larger than New York’s Times Square.

Circled by world-class outlets, connected to a retail mall below, all with direct access to the iconic towers.

The Uptown Dubai district will be a 24-hour neighbourhood.
