Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai's press office, has released a new guide containing 30 traditional recipes for traditional Ramadan dishes. They were created by chefs from famous cafes and restaurants in Dubai.
The initiative is part of the #RamadaninDubai campaign, which aims to bring the joy of Ramadan to people across the emirate. The guide introduces Dubai residents to its vibrant culinary offerings and provides an opportunity to hone their culinary skills.
You can download the guide online to see unique European dishes that can be bought in the most popular cafes and restaurants in Dubai. The digital guide features simple recipes collected by 10 restaurants and cafes and 10 chefs.
Through this annual initiative, Brand Dubai aims to support innovative businesses and the creativity of talented chefs, as well as engage the public in culinary creativity and original dishes.
The organization believes that this guide will ignite a passion for excellence and exploring new culinary concepts in the Dubai community. It contains dishes for iftar and suhoor: from appetizers, soups and salads to main courses, desserts, smoothies and signature dishes.
The recipes draw inspiration from the rich variety of culinary traditions of Emirati, Mediterranean, Italian, Indian, Japanese, French and Afghan cuisine. Some of the guide's compilers are Michelin star holders.
Chefs who have shared my small recipes include Vincent Le Moal; Mira Issa Al Naqbi; Sheikha Hessa Al Khalifa; Alexander Stumpf; Celia Stocklin; Abir Ibrahim Alluz; Aisha Al Obaidly; Christophe Devoy; Tim Newton and Faisal Al Harmoudi.
