A Guinness World Record gold dress valued at AED5m ($1.36m) has emerged as one of the headline attractions at the 57th edition of the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show (WJMES), as leading jewellery brands showcase exclusive collections, rare creations and record-breaking designs in Sharjah.

The UAE-manufactured dress, presented by Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery, weighs more than 10kg of pure 21-karat gold and is officially recognised as the world’s most expensive gold dress.

The showcase comes as major regional jewellery brands use the event to unveil new collections, artistic creations and luxury products aimed at high-net-worth customers and collectors.

Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery is presenting the gold dress for the first time at the exhibition, positioning it as a centrepiece attraction for visitors.

Manufactured in the UAE, the dress weighs more than 10kg of pure 21-karat gold and is valued at AED5m ($1.36m).

The piece is officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s most expensive gold dress, highlighting its status as a luxury showcase creation and one of the most distinctive exhibits at this year’s event.

Alongside the record-breaking dress, Al Romaizan Gold and Jewellery is unveiling a portfolio of new jewellery collections launched exclusively during the 57th edition of the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show.

Salem Al-Shueibi Jewellery is using the exhibition to launch its new “Aura Mosa” collection, created in collaboration with Emirati designer Shamma Al Hallami.

The company is also showcasing artistic creations from its “Sheikha Hind” collection, first launched last year, while unveiling more than 500 new diamond designs.

The extensive launch reflects the company’s strategy of expanding its premium portfolio and introducing exclusive collections designed to respond to changing consumer preferences and trends within the luxury jewellery market.

Arabian Gold and Diamond is exhibiting a collection of artistic creations that have earned international recognition and secured entries in the Guinness World Records.

Among the highlights is the “Union Frame”, which incorporates iconic landmarks from all seven emirates.

The company is also displaying the world’s largest mirror and the world’s largest “Mertasha” jewellery piece, showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship associated with the UAE’s gold and jewellery sector.

Jawhara Jewellery is participating with a range of luxury collections focused on exclusivity and craftsmanship.

One of the key attractions is the “Palm” Collection, featuring 18-karat gold pieces set with natural diamonds and premium gemstones including rubies, emeralds and sapphires.

According to the company, the collection has recorded strong market demand and has become one of its flagship product lines.

Jawhara Jewellery is also presenting an exclusive selection of pearl jewellery alongside bespoke diamond bridal sets produced as one-of-a-kind creations.

The company said only a single piece is produced from each design, a strategy aimed at enhancing exclusivity and appealing to affluent customers seeking personalised jewellery creations.

The 57th edition of the Watch and Jewellery Middle East Show has attracted participation from leading local jewellery companies and brands, with exhibitors showcasing exclusive collections, rare pieces and record-breaking creations.

From Guinness World Record entries to limited-edition bridal sets and gemstone collections, the event highlights the growing focus on innovation, craftsmanship and exclusivity within the region’s luxury jewellery industry.
