Eid Al Fitr in the UAE will begin on Wednesday, April 10, according to the International Astronomical Center (IAC).
Many Islamic states will also celebrate Eid Al Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan.
Sighting committees will be looking to sight the Shawwal crescent moon on Monday evening from regions where it is theoretically possible, IAC said in an X post.
On Saturday, the UAE moon-sighting committee called on Muslims to try and spot the crescent moon on Monday evening.
The committee will determine the date of Eid and conclusion of Ramadan based on whether the Moon is sighted or not that night.
Over the weekend, the committee requested that Muslims attempt to observe the Moon on the evening of Monday, which marks Ramadan 29, in order to verify if Eid will fall on Tuesday or Wednesday.
However, if Ramadan lasts for 29 days, UAE residents will have a six-day holiday, including one weekend.
The exact duration of the holiday will be confirmed on Ramadan 29 , which falls on Monday, April 8.
