Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to auction an exclusive collection of 90 premium vehicle licensing plates, ranging from two to five digits, at the upcoming 117th Open Licensing Plates Auction.

The plates, featuring codes (AA, BB, K, O, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z), are headlined by the coveted Super Plates AA 21 and BB 55.

The auction will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the InterContinental Dubai Festival City Hotel, starting at 4.30pm.

Registration for bidders will open on Monday, December 23, 2024. Attendees are encouraged to pre-register via RTA’s website, the Dubai Drive app, or at RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Al Ramool, Deira, and Al Barsha.

Seats in the auction hall are limited, with priority given to registered bidders. On-site registration will also be available from 2pm on the auction day.

Participation in the auction is subject to a 5 per cent VAT. Each bidder must hold a traffic file in the emirate and submit a refundable security cheque of AED25,000 to RTA.

Additionally, a non-refundable participation fee of AED120 must also be paid at the designated Customer Happiness Centres. Payment can also be made by credit card through the website or Dubai Drive App.
