Bookings for passengers wanting to travel on Etihad Rail from the Dubai station has now been opened. Those who want to travel on the rail network can book their tickets on the Etihad Rail website or the app.
Ticket prices from Dubai to Abu Dhabi start at Dh39 per person in the Comfort class and Dh109 on the Premium class.
The first train from Dubai to Abu Dhabi will leave at 6:15am. Four additional trips are available for passengers to book throughout the day. The trip is expected to be completed in one hour and four minutes.
Those who want to travel towards Fujariah from Dubai have one service available for now. The total duration of the trip will be one hour and 10 minutes.
Passengers can choose between Comfort Class and Premium Class. Comfort Class includes complimentary Wi-Fi, power sockets at every seat, and access to a food and beverage trolley service. Premium Class offers wider reclining seats, extra legroom, complimentary refreshments and snacks, and a quieter cabin environment.
Saver, Value and Flex ticket options are available for travellers. The Saver option will assign seats automatically and does not allow for any changes. It is also non refundable.
It was earlier announced that the Dubai station, officially named Al Yalayis Station, is scheduled to open on September 30, 2026, alongside Al Dhaid Station in Sharjah. The new station is located in Jumeirah Golf Estates, near Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311), placing it within reach of communities including Al Furjan, Dubai Investment Park, and Dubai South.
A second Etihad Rail station is also planned for Meydan, which will connect with the upcoming Dubai Metro Gold Line, scheduled for completion in 2032.
The Dubai station will also feature a planned connection to the Dubai Metro. A dedicated pedestrian bridge is under construction to link Al Yalayis Station with Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Red Line, allowing passengers to transfer between the national rail network and Dubai's urban transport system
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) had earlier confirmed that the Nol card system is ready to be integrated with Etihad Rail. This means that passengers will be able to use their nol cards across metro, bus, taxi, and rail services.
The first passenger service of the Etihad Rail was rolled out on June 30, 2026. The inaugural train departed from Fujairah Station at 5.34am and arrived at Mohamed bin Zayed City Station in Abu Dhabi at 7.19am. The trip of about 250 kilometers was covered in about 1 hour 45 minutes with the train arriving in Abu Dhabi ahead of schedule.
At the time, Etihad Rail had reported that over 10,000 tickets had been sold ahead of the first day of operations, with six passenger services scheduled on the inaugural day.
