Etihad Airways has announced a major expansion of its flight map, launching ten new routes. The move opens up new travel options for residents of the UAE capital and creates strategic route connections for tourists visiting Abu Dhabi.
The announcement follows an interactive social media campaign where millions of users tried to guess the new routes. The video announcing the new routes has been viewed more than 40 million times since its release.
The flights are scheduled to begin in mid-2025. The new routes include:
- Atlanta, USA: four flights per week from July 2, 2025
- Taipei, Taiwan: seven flights per week from September 7, 2025

Etihad CEO Antonoaldo Neves noted the importance of choosing new destinations based on passenger preferences. The launch of new routes is in line with Abu Dhabi’s plans to attract international tourists and strengthen its reputation as a hub for connectivity, innovation and hospitality.
