Dubai International Airport (DXB) expects high passenger numbers over the Eid Al Fitr holiday period. From April 2-15, around 3.6 million guests are forecast to travel through the airport, DXB said in a statement on Tuesday.
The daily traffic is predicted to exceed 258,000 people on average.
Saturday, April 13 is tipped to be the busiest day, with nearly 292,000 guests expected.
Dubai Airports is working with airlines and partners to ensure travellers have a smooth experience.
Emirates passengers can use home or city check-in options, whereas flydubai advised travellers to arrive at least four hours before departure.
Most airlines recommend arriving three hours before scheduled flights. Using online check-in can save time at the airport.
Families with children over 12 can also speed up passport control by using Smart Gates.
The airport urges all travellers to prepare travel documents in advance and check regulations for their destination. Baggage should be weighed at home and people should be ready for security screenings.
Spare phone chargers and power banks should be packed in hand baggage. Goodbyes should be said at home as only passengers will be allowed in terminals during peak times.
The Dubai Metro can help people get to and from the airport or between terminals if roads are busy.
Only public transport and authorised airport vehicles can access arrivals areas in terminals 1 and 3. Visitors should use the car parks or valet services.
