UAE National Day is just around the corner, and Dubai is going all out with a month-long celebration across the city.

The emirate will pull out all the stops between UAE Flag Day on Monday November 3 and Eid Al Etihad on Tuesday December 2, with a diverse range of national, community and cultural events.

It is the second consecutive year that Dubai will celebrate all month long, with a repeat of last year’s #ZayedAndRashid theme in honour of the nation’s founding fathers, His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, has revealed a guide to all 25 UAE National Day celebrations being hosted by government, semi-government and private entities in the city.

Between Monday November 3 and Tuesday December 2, Al Safa Library for Arts and Design will host a month of celebrations to mark the period between UAE Flag Day and UAE National Day. Expect events like poetry readings, artistic performances and traditional music.

Thousands of UAE flags have been lined up next to one of Dubai’s most iconic landmarks as part of the national celebrations for UAE Flag Day and UAE National Day. Now in its 12th year, the flag garden at Umm Suqeim Beach sits in the shadow of Burj Al Arab, always makes for a colourful addition to the city. This season, the UAE Flag Garden can be seen from Friday October 31 and is set to close on Saturday January 10.

Dubai’s newest major mall is hosting pop-up events and activations throughout the weeks leading up to UAE National Day. The mall has not announced what exactly we can expect but Brand Dubai has revealed that there will be national celebrations starting from Monday December 1, and extending all the way to Sunday December 28.

The Hatta Heritage Village is playing host to a special children’s camp across four weekends. The Hatta Winter Camp will put on an engaging programme of events for kids aged between seven and 12, inviting young participants to explore the heritage, traditions and natural environment of the stunning Hatta region. Registration is open now and will be held on weekends between November 15 and the UAE National Day long weekend.

The Al Fahidi Historical Village will host celebrations reflecting on the culture and history of the nation between Saturday November 15 and Wednesday December 3. Exact events have not been revealed for the national month of celebrations but this location has been confirmed as a participant.

Global Village will kick the celebrations off on Thursday November 27 and keep the party going until Wednesday December 3. The National Day festivities will include spectacular fireworks, colourful drone shows and a theatrical dance operetta. Fireworks will light up the night sky in the colours of the UAE flag at 9pm on Monday December 1, Tuesday December 2 and Wednesday December 3. A UAE-themed drone show will be held on December 1 and December 2.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will organise a Winter Festival in its outdoor square on Thursday November 27 between 4pm and 11pm.The venue is also hosting two days of workshops geared towards empowering Emirati talents on Tuesday November 25 and Wednesday November 26.

Expo City will host UAE National Day celebrations between Friday November 28 and Tuesday December 2. While no exact events have been confirmed, you can expect live performances at the immersive Al Wasl Dome to be among the highlights. In the lead-up to National Day, Expo City is hosting the second edition of light art festival Dhai Dubai and its first-ever Festival of Cake.

Found in the historic Dubai Creek neighbourhood, Al Shindagha Museum is the UAE’s largest open-air heritage museum. The museum is hosting national celebrations between Saturday November 29 and Wednesday December 3. On UAE National Day itself, Al Shindagha neighbourhood will host a special light projection display.

Ibn Battutta Mall will host celebrations on the first three days of December to mark the Eid Al Etihad holiday. Exact events have not been confirmed but head along between 2pm and 10pm on December 1, 2 and 3 to check out what the mall is doing to celebrate.

Expect special promotions and festivities at Dubai Parks and Resorts throughout the UAE National Day weekend. The popular attraction will host events between Monday December 1 and Thursday December 4.

The world’s tallest building is set to host a massive fireworks display to mark the UAE National Day celebrations. Burj Khalifa lights up with bright colours while fireworks surround the building, the show is likely to be visible throughout Dubai. If you’re up close then you’ll also be treated to a special show by the recently reopened Dubai Fountain.

The recently renamed Palm Jumeirah Mall (formerly known as Nakheel Mall) will host celebrations throughout the mall on Tuesday December 2 – the official Union Day in the country. As with other malls featured in the national month of celebrations, exact events have not yet been revealed.

Circle Mall in JVC will also host Eid Al Etihad celebrations on Union Day itself but has not yet revealed what exactly will be showcased.

Souk Al Seef, previously known as Al Seef, will take part in National celebrations on Union Day. In recent years, celebrations have included fireworks displays down at Dubai Creek but there has been no confirmation of any show for the 54th Eid Al Etihad.

JBR is home to loads of foodie options, exciting shops and, on Tuesday December 2, National Celebrations. The beach has been a popular spot in previous years to catch fireworks displays for UAE National Day but there is no confirmation that a display will be on show for this year’s occasion.

Bluewaters, home to great restaurants and Ain Dubai, will host national celebrations on Tuesday December 2. In previous years, the popular location hosted fireworks celebrations but nothing has been confirmed as yet.

The Dubai Public Library will participate in national day celebrations on Tuesday December 2, but no specific events have been announced yet.

As part of the celebrations, Etihad Museum is highlighting its projection mapping technology which brings information about the pre-union period of the UAE to life. While the museum is a special spot throughout the year, expect it to be particularly poignant on UAE National Day itself.

Al Khawaneej Walk and Last Exit is another top mall to participate in the national day celebrations. While no events have been confirmed, the mall will host celebrations on Tuesday December 2 and Wednesday December 3.

Children’s City will host national celebrations between 4pm and 7pm on Union Day and on December 3. A schedule has not been announced yet but expect colourful events.

Mushrif Park is one of the most popular public parks in the city and it’s set to host two days of celebrations marking the annual festivities. On Tuesday December 2 and Wednesday December 3, Mushrif Park will be home to special events marking the foundation of the UAE.

The architectural landmark is taking part in the national festivities on Tuesday December 2 and Wednesday December 3, as the UAE marks the 54 years as a nation. Events will be held between 4pm and 7pm at the popular attraction.
