If you’ve been planning a visit to one of Dubai’s most famous pools, you’ll need to hold off for a few months. AURA Skypool has temporarily closed while it undergoes renovations, with the venue confirming it will reopen on September 1.

The announcement was shared on AURA’s Instagram account on Saturday, May 31, alongside the message: “A New Chapter Rises.”

The venue revealed that it is currently closed for renovation and will return later this year “renewed and reimagined for an even more extraordinary experience.”

While details about the refurbishment have not yet been revealed, guests can already make plans for later in the year, as bookings for September onwards are now open.

Since opening in 2021, AURA has become one of Dubai’s most recognisable attractions. Located on the 50th floor of Palm Tower, the destination is home to the world’s first and highest 360 degree infinity pool.

Set 200 metres above ground level, the pool offers uninterrupted views across Dubai. Depending on where you’re relaxing, you can take in sights including Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa, Ain Dubai and the Arabian Gulf.

The venue was launched by Sunset Hospitality Group and quickly became a favourite for both residents and visitors looking for a luxury pool day with a view. Alongside its famous infinity pool, AURA also features a lounge and dining space where guests can enjoy drinks and light bites while overlooking Dubai’s skyline.

The closure comes during the quieter summer months and will give the venue time to complete its transformation before welcoming guests back in September.

For now, visitors will have to wait a little longer to see what’s in store, but if AURA’s latest announcement is anything to go by, the popular destination is preparing for an exciting new chapter.
