“Between 2020 and 2024, several new resorts are bringing more to discover across the islands of the Maldives, and this year our travellers are making the most of trying somewhere new,” she said.

In addition, staycations are also on the rise with 35 percent of UAE residents choosing to spend the summer in the country.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that the demand for travel in the Emirates is growing at an unprecedented rate with elevated experiences on the rise including the indulgence in business and first-class travel.

“According to Skyscanner’s Travel Trends 2024 report, 38 percent of UAE travellers are more likely to elevate their journey by upgrading to business and first-class seats,” Ayoub El Mamoun, Skyscanner Travel Expert said in an exclusive interview with Arabian Business.

“This rising trend reflects a growing desire for an elevated travel experience, where discerning passengers seek not just a destination, but a seamless blend of comfort, luxury, and exclusivity,” he added.
