Umm Al Quwain announced new fines for pedestrian crossing violators starting today, motorists will be monitored and fined through solar-powered AI radars. The technology has been activated on April 3.

Violators will be fined AED500 and given six black points.

Motorists are urged to stop at crossings and give way to pedestrians.

Last week, Abu Dhabi Police announced a new minimum speed limit on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Road starting April 2023. Motorists who fail to adhere to the new speed limits will be fined AED400.
