After years of waiting, Primark has finally arrived in Dubai and we’re getting ready to welcome a third store already. The best part? The brilliantly low prices are the same.
Primark’s the go-to UK fashion shop where you can sift through loads of options (essentially a grown-up treasure hunt) and score stylish styles at generously low prices.
It’s one of the few places where you could snap up a full outfit, a Harry Potter duvet cover, a novelty mug and a pack of micellar cleansing wipes in one lunchtime dash.
If you’re already planning your massive Primark haul (same, tbh), here’s everything you need to know.
You know what they say about Primarks, you wait years for one to come along and then two more come straight after. Or something like that. Anyway, an opening date has now been confirmed for the Mall of the Emirates edition of the store.
The first Primark store in Dubai opened at Dubai Mall on Thursday March 26, followed by a second store at City Centre Mirdif store on Thursday April 9.
A third store at Mall of the Emirates in May, and it has been confirmed to open at 3pm on Thursday May 21, just before the Eid Al Adha break.
Later in 2026, Primark will also open in Bahrain (City Centre Bahrain) and in Qatar (Doha Festival City).
The store in Dubai Mall will be located after eagle-eyed shoppers noticed the façade of the upcoming shop appear next to Morelli’s Gelato on the lower ground floor.
The first store in the region opened at The Avenues Mall in Kuwait on Thursday October 23.
This is what the first Primark store in Dubai Mall looks like.
The UK’s budget fashion brand Primark has landed in Dubai and, in glorious news, the prices are staying the same.
You can expect affordable fashion, beauty and homeware all under one roof, with jeans from Dhs55, T-shirts from Dhs9 and bags and shoes from Dhs27.
And the best bit? Those familiar low prices will stay exactly the same when the store arrives in Dubai.
The starting price for jeans will be Dhs50, and t-shirts will be just Dhs15.
Alshaya Group CEO John Hadden has been quoted as saying, “Price is the same. We’re going to do jeans at a starting price of Dhs50 and a basic t-shirt will be Dhs15.
“I’m so excited I can’t sustain it. It’s just brilliant.”
If you haven’t had the chance to browse its aisles before, then let us explain.
Founded in Dublin, Ireland, as Penney’s, Primark was first launched 55 years ago and has now expanded into more than 470 stores worldwide.
Now in 17 countries in Europe and the US, the brand sells everything from socks to home furnishings, cosmetics, womenswear, menswear and childrenswear.
Known for being a budget option, shoppers have long-adored finding new styles for a lower price.
