More rain on the way for Abu Dhabi, Dubai says NCM

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast more rain in the coming week for the UAE.

While parts of the country are set to receive light showers on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, heavier rain and thunderstorms are on the way for the beginning of May.

The weather bulletin for Friday forecasts fair to partly cloudy conditions in general. The NCM said some regions could see some convective cloud formation followed by rainfall.

Saturday will see similar weather conditions along with the probability of mist formation. The sea will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea.

While the saying goes “April showers, May flowers”, for the UAE rain and thunderstorms will continue in to the first week of May.

The NCM has forecast rain for Wednesday, May 1 and for Thursday, May 2. The Windy App shows the probability of thunderstorms forming with clouds moving in from the West.

Additionally, The Weather Channel, has forecast scattered rainfall and isolated thunderstorms across Dubai as well as other parts of the UAE, from May 4 to May 6.
