The world’s largest international airline has announced new luxury flights between Dubai and a popular Asian capital.

Emirates is set to deploy its A350 aircraft on flights between Dubai International Airport and Kuala Lumpur International Airport from Tuesday September 1.

It will expand upon the airline’s existing luxury offering to the Malaysian capital, introducing its premium economy class on flights EK344/345. This adds to Emirates’ existing offering on its retrofitted Boeing 777 flights to Kuala Lumpur.

The upgraded flight will feature 32 lie-flat business class seats in a 1-2-1 layout, 28 premium economy seats and 238 economy class seats.

This year marks three decades since Emirates first launched flights to Kuala Lumpur, with the route now operated by the airline’s three flagship aircraft types.

With the A350 operating between Kuala Lumpur and Dubai, travellers will benefit from the airline’s connections from Dubai across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and the Americas.

Travellers departing Kuala Lumpur on EK345 or arriving on EK344 can also connect to more than 20 points across the airline’s global network. This includes cities such as Istanbul, Lyon, Frankfurt, and others.

Saeed Mubarak, Emirates country manager in Malaysia, said: “This year marks three decades since Emirates launched services to Kuala Lumpur.

“For 30 years, we have continued to strengthen our presence in Malaysia and invest in our products, ensuring our customers enjoy an exceptional travel experience at every stage of their journey.

“Following the successful introduction of our retrofitted Boeing 777 with Premium Economy on EK346/347, we’re delighted to bring our new-generation A350 to Kuala Lumpur. Together with our A380 operations, this means customers travelling from Malaysia will have access to all three of our flagship aircraft types, each offering a distinctive Emirates experience.

“We’re confident that our A350 will be warmly welcomed by our customers in Malaysia, and we look forward to giving more travellers the opportunity to experience our latest and best-in-class products.”
